Beera is a large traditional Victorian farmhouse built in the 1840’s set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty in Devon. The farm is part of the Hardicot Estate consisting of some 3000 acres and was once owned by the Duke of Bedford. .

The farm yard and house was used in the making of the BBC TV drama ‘The VET’. Situated on the farm is the Duke of Bedford's Drive which was the track that mostly followed the river from Morwellham Quay (the tidal limit of the river) to Endsleigh House the Dukes country retreat. On one occasion he was joined by Queen Victoria for a weekend break.  .
