Devon farmhouse bed and breakfast nr Dartmoor, Cornwall and Eden Project.
Beera is a large traditional Victorian farmhouse built in the 1840s set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty in Devon. The farm is part of the Hardicot Estate consisting of some 3000 acres and was once owned by the Duke of Bedford.
The farm is a 180 acre working beef and sheep farm on the banks of the river Tamar rising from 30 - 100 metres above sea level. The land is mainly in grass with some Barley, grown for livestock feed for the winter.
The farm yard and house was used in the making of the BBC TV drama The VET.
Situated on the farm is the Duke of Bedford's Drive which was the track that mostly followed the river from Morwellham Quay (the tidal limit of the river) to Endsleigh House the Dukes country retreat. On one occasion he was joined by Queen Victoria for a weekend break.
A warm welcome awaits your arrival as does a freshly baked Devon cream tea. Guests are welcome to walk on the farm and take in the beautiful scenery as seen from the house or just relax in the garden.
